MediaAuditFinland is the JIC for Finnish print media industry. The aim of the company is to provide impartial, reliable and comparable data about printed media and digital editions. The founders and owners of the MediaAuditFinland are publishers of newspapers and periodicals, advertisers, and media and advertising agencies.
The aim of the audits is to determine the average circulation of printed and digital copies of publications according to the Finnish industry rules. We have also reported total circulations since 2012.
Circulation audits have been conducted for nearly 60 years and MediaAuditFinland has been a member of the International Federation of Audit Bureaux of Circulations since 1963. Today, audits are carried out for around 400 print and digital publications every year.
FINNISH NATIONAL READERSHIP SURVEY
The Finnish National Readership Survey (NRS) has been formulated and implemented in conjunction with the print media industry. The survey is owned by the MediaAuditFinland, and data collection is implemented by TNS Gallup Ltd.
The Finnish NRS determines readerships, reading habits and profiles of the main publications in Finland. Data is also collected concerning digital reading and general media usage. The survey is based on 26,000 telephone interviews and 9,500 online respondents.
TRADE FAIR AUDITS
MediaAuditFinland audits trade fairs on the basis of the collaborative agreement formed with the Finnish Union of Trade Fair Organisers. The Union represents the vast majority of Finnish trade fair organisers. Anually we audit around 80 trade fairs and other events.
